I been coming to Dental Arts for a few years and was a skeptical about returning since my regular hygienist had moved on but my experience was super. I was knowledge right of way as I entered the office, making me feel welcomed. Jannette was down to earth , I feel I like knew her already. She did a fantastic job with the cleaning. The entire team was fantastic.

This location and the team at Dental Arts Pelham are amazing. Marlene and Carol are so professional and truly works with you when trying find the proper care and finance if need be. They don’t just see you as a number, but as family which means they go above and beyond.Dr. Daphne Benedit is one in a million. Her compassion for others and gentle care when handling patients is impeccable. It’s like coming home to a family reunion seeing everyone you love with grandma there greeting you with a smile that lights up the room, that’s Dr. Benedit. My mother came in for an extensive procedure and even though she didn’t have to, she called weeks in to make sure my mother was doing well with her care. Usually with dentist you feel pain and discomfort, I can truly say that Dr. Benedit truly loves her job and it shows in every smile that walks out of that office. Dr. Markovitch has truly developed a wonderful team and an office that feels like a second home. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking to make a difference in their smile and hygiene.

At our dental office, we take the health of your temporomandibular joint (TMJ) seriously.

TMJ dysfunction can cause a wide range of symptoms, including chronic headaches, clicking or popping sounds in the jaw, and facial pain. Our team of experienced dentists and specialists are equipped to diagnose and treat TMJ dysfunction.

Diagnosis

If you are experiencing symptoms of TMJ dysfunction, it is important to schedule an appointment with our office. During your visit, your dentist or specialist will review your medical history, assess your jaw movements, and discuss the location, intensity, and duration of your symptoms. Depending on your individual case, we may use further diagnostic tools, such as x-rays or CT scans, to evaluate the structure and movement of your jaw.

Treatment

Once we have identified the cause of your TMJ dysfunction, we will develop a comprehensive treatment plan to help you manage your symptoms. Treatment plans may include lifestyle modifications, such as stress reduction techniques, jaw exercises, and dietary changes. Depending on your condition, we may also use splints, orthodontics, or other techniques to realign and support your jaw. In severe cases, we may recommend surgery to correct any underlying structural abnormalities.

We understand that TMJ dysfunction can be painful and disruptive to your daily life. Our team is dedicated to helping you find relief from your symptoms and restore your jaw to optimal functioning.
